NEW SERVICE: Register for SMS reminders of your baby vaccines due date to be issued to you by email or text to your mobile by logging on to www.irishhealth.com .

All the immunisations listed are free. The table below shows what immunisations are given, at what age, and where.

Additional vaccines now available for young children include:

  • Chickenpox vaccine given to children from 12months to 12 years and requires two injections.
  • Vaccine to prevent Rotavirus (severe vomiting and diarrhoea) for young children 12 months to 12 years of age and requires two injections.

Will immunisations still work if my child doesn't get them at the right time? Yes. Most of these vaccines can be given at any age, and a child who misses one injection in a course of injections does not have to start again. The vaccines already given will still work and your child will still develop protection. Just ask your GP (General Practitioner). If you have any queries or concerns about vaccines please contact your GP or local health office
